Good dental care is important not only for your pet’s oral health but poor dental hygiene can also lead to more serious health issues, such as kidney and heart disease. Preventative care should begin when the pet is young to keep the teeth and gums as healthy as possible. An oral assessment should be performed by your Doctor at least once a year at which time your pet will be started on a dental program tailored to meet his or her dental needs.
