Endoscope

Fiber optics enable us to visually examine your pet for possible foreign objects or to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the gastrointestinal system. During an endoscopy, a lighted camera mounted on a flexible instrument serves as the Doctor’s “eye” giving him non-invasive access to the inside of the gastrointestinal system. This allows for the best possible biopsy samples or evaluation or to aid in the diagnosis of growths or gastrointestinal disorders. A laparoscope is a minimally invasive diagnostic technique (using a rigid instrument), which is used to diagnose complex medical problems caused by organs outside of the gastrointestinal tract.
