Laser

Our state of the art CO2 laser allows us to perform many surgical procedures with distinct advantages over the more common method. The intense temperature of the laser beam effectively kills bacteria which could cause infection within the surgical site. Bleeding and pain are greatly reduced due to the laser’s cautery action and coagulation properties. One of the best characteristics is the reduction of pain that a patient will experience with laser procedures. Because of the above, Gulfshore Animal Hospital only performs feline declaw procedures using the laser method.
