Ultrasound
| Ultrasound offers a non-invasive, pain-free method for the diagnosing of many diseases. Organs, cysts, masses, and nodules which are difficult or impossible to be seen on radiographs (x-rays) can not only be seen but also measured using ultrasound. Cardiac health can also be determined through real-time echo cardiology during an ultrasound examination of the heart. There is usually no fasting or anesthesia required for most procedures and only clipping of the haircoat is necessary in the area of placement of the gel for the scanning process. |
